My Beloved Brothers of the Western Region,
The Western Region Leadership Team and conjunction with the host chapters, Theta Pi Lambda and Sigma Psi chapters, are working diligently to make the 69th Western Region Convention a memorable experience for the brothers, wives, partners, and supporters. Our convention theme is “Strengthening AlphaWest’s Investment with Innovative Leadership and Service.”
Early Bird registration is now open with a rate of $275.00 for alumni brothers and $200.00 for college brothers. Early bird rates will expire on January 2, 2017. A payment plan with 2 installment payment are available with an expiration date of January 2, 2017. The registration rates for fall 2016 and spring 2017 initiates are $200.00 for alumni initiates and $175.00 for college initiates. Regular Convention registration rates are $350.00 for alumni brothers and $250.00 college brothers from January 3 to February 28, 2017, and late registration rates are $400.00 for alumni brothers and $275.00 for college brothers after February 28.
The convention dates are April 6 through April 9, 2017 at the Fabulous Flamingo Hotel located at 3555 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas in Las Vegas, NV 89109. The opening session of the convention begins Thursday, April 9, at 1:00 pm. The hotel rate is $70.00 plus resort fee and taxes (Wed, Thu, & Sun) and $130.00 plus resort fees and taxes (Fri & Sat). Be mindful that the cut-off date to reserve your hotel accommodations is March 13, 2017 (Monday) three (3) weeks prior to the convention. This is a hard date because rates will jump to $400.00 plus taxes or more pending availability. Reserve your room now because you have 72 hours prior to arrival to cancel without penalty.
Highlights of the convention a candidate forum for the office of Western Region Vice President and the office of Western Region Assistant Vice President, Public Program Event, Veterans’ Breakfast, Ms. Black and Gold Pageant, Step Show, College Brother Party, Ladies’ Program, Town Hall Meeting and the Black and Gold Banquet.
